Kerry Lloyd
Director
Kerry knew she wanted to own a business since she first studied accounting back in high school. Shortly after completing her accounting degree, she met Greg and the two of them have worked together ever since. More than two decades later, she’s still happy with her career choice of accounting.
“Right from the very beginning, I wanted to be dealing with people – not just numbers. That’s why I became a public accountant,” she said. And today that’s still the most enjoyable part of her working as an accountant. “Every client has a different issue to look after and the variations we’re presented with are almost endless. I really enjoy that every day is different. You come to work and you often don’t quite know what the day will bring.”
Whilst there have been many great outcomes for clients along the way, Kerry regards helping put the right foundations in place when a client first started-up of their business from scratch five years ago – as one of her best outcomes. In 2011, that client’s business turned over almost $2 million. She loves seeing people and their families being successful and knowing that with careful management, it’s likely to have set them up for the rest of their lives.
Kerry initially became a partner at Mason Lloyd in 2011 and then went on to purchase the business and become its sole director in mid-2014. She continues to look forward to work with Mason Lloyd’s clients and getting to know and help grow the next generation of Albury Wodonga’s residents and business owners.

Matthew Hill – B.Bus (Accounting/Marketing)
Accountant
Matthew always loved working with numbers and so when accounting was offered as a high school subject, he knew he had to pursue it. Although, now having seven years professional experience under his belt – all of which he’s gained at Mason Lloyd, Matt says that high school accounting is vastly different from the practical daily practice of client-facing accounting.
Matt mainly works on small business and individual accounting work, although he’s spending more of his time on Self Managed Superannuation these days. And although working with numbers is great, he finds working with clients to further improve their financial lives to be really satisfying. That and he loves working with the “cool bunch of people” that make up the Mason Lloyd team. He is due to start his CA qualification this year. Contact via the form below.
Tanya Joss – B.Bus (Accounting), FCA, Grad Dip Fin. Studies
Accountant
Tanya met Kerry when they were both studying accounting at uni and then went on to work with both Greg and Kerry as an accountant for several years before the advent of Mason Lloyd. It wasn’t until she returned from maternity leave recently to her role as Financial Controller at the Border Mail that she realised how much she missed the client contact and the huge variety in her day that working within an accounting practice gave her.
Ultimately, however, it was her love of helping others to better understand financial concepts and tax laws that saw her return to working with Greg and Kerry. Tanya loves the happy, friendly environment of Mason Lloyd as much as she loves talking through the questions her small business and SMSF clients have on a regular basis to help them get a better handle on their businesses and super fund management. Cassandra Taylor – B.Comm (Accounting)/B. Management (HR)
Trainee Accountant
Having graduated with a double degree in HR and Accounting from Federation University in Ballarat in 2016, Cassandra found that her passion for blending both numbers and people, made her a perfect fit as an accountant. Cassie considers her role as Mason Lloyd’s trainee accountant almost like her apprenticeship to a long and exciting career in accounting.
While she is yet to build her own client portfolio, Cassandra aids Mason Lloyd’s more senior accounting team members by putting theory into action supporting the completion of everything from simple calculations to complex tax compliance tasks. She loves the unique challenges that each day and each client bring saying that no two days are ever the same.
Maxine Gibbons
Office Manager
Maxine came to Mason Lloyd with decades of experience in accounting. She and Kerry even worked together at the very beginning of Kerry’s career and they stayed in touch. Over the ensuing decades, Maxine has seen many changes in the accounting space – much of which have to do with considerably less paper and much greater productivity.
Making Mason Lloyd’s business run smoothly from an administrative perspective is what she knows and what she does best.
Maxine loves being a member of the Mason Lloyd team and she’s always happy to provide solutions to solve a client’s problem.
Katrina Thederahn
Receptionist
If you’ve interacted all at with Katrina, you’d know she is a passionate person who brings a unique perspective to the world of accounting. She feels her previous experience in the world of healthcare is very similar in that clients in both spheres often arrive with a problem and leave much relieved. Katrina sees her reception role looking after and assisting clients where possible as contributing to that transition.
